Laura Mae Lindo, Kitchener Centre MPP, has appointed Upsilon sister Marcia Smellie to an advisory group related to the plan to locate a statue of Mel Brown, a Kitchener African-American musician, in front of The Museum in Kitchener for an exhibit about The Rolling Stones. Marcia was the founder of the local chapter of the Congress of Black Women.
